Comprehensive Eye Health Examinations
You eye health starts with annual comprehensive eye health examinations. These exams look for problems with the pressure in your eye, illnesses or injuries to your retina and can detect other health problems, including high blood pressure and diabetes. If we see signs of glaucoma, AMD or diabetic retinopathy, we will explain the diagnosis to you and provide a course of treatment. We may also recommend that you schedule your eye examinations closer together so that we can monitor your condition.
If you have problems with your visual acuity, we offer a wide range of corrective lenses, including single vision, bifocal and trifocal glasses, hard and soft contact lenses and Ortho-k.
Our Eye Care Center Mission
Our optometrists are dedicated to answering all your eye health questions as well as providing you with advanced eye care. We also value your time, which is why we do everything within our power to ensure you are seen soon after you enter our waiting room.
Along with adult exams, we also offer pediatric exams that are designed to check for common childhood eye ailments, including nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, crossed eyes, depth perception problems and tracking and teaming problems. We recommend that all children receive an eye examination before the start of each school year.
Refractive Vision Problems We Treat
When you cannot see clearly, it affects everything you do from driving a car to reading a menu. It can even affect your work performance and your ability to participate in recreational activities. Our optometrists can diagnose and treat a wide range of refractive vision problems, including myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism and presbyopia.
Refractive Laser Counseling
Many refractive vision problems can be significantly improved or permanently corrected with LASIK and laser eye surgery. Our optometrists offer refractive laser counseling in order to answer your laser eye surgery questions and determine if you would make a good candidate for permanent vision correction. If you are a good candidate, we can write you a referral to an eye surgeon for LASIK, PRK or CK laser eye surgery.
Vision therapy helps improve the way the eyes function together. While it has primarily been used to help kids who have crossed eyes and vision related learning problems, it is also beneficial for adults. The visual exercises and tasks can help adults see better for their jobs and to play sports.
